Thai translation service

We translate over 80 language combinations, including Thai to English and English to Thai. In fact, English to Thai translations are among our top 14 requested language services. Our Thai translation service is engaged by Government agencies, businesses and individuals across Australia and worldwide.

The Thai language has over 50 Million speakers worldwide, comprising 85% of the Thai population, in addition to communities in the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore. Throughout Thailand today, there are four main dialects of Thai, derived from the Tai, or Siamese language family. These variants of the spoken Thai language correspond to the southern, northern, northeastern and central regions of the country. The Thai from the Bangkok and central regions, known as Bangkok Thai or Central Thai, has taken place as the dominant form of the language, used for education, televised media, and is understood by the majority of the population.

We have at your disposal a team of highly qualified, experienced and specialised Thai translators. We offer a comprehensive Thai translation service covering a variety of specialist fields, including scientific, technical, legal, commercial/promotional, etc. We also offer typesetting and printing services, for brochures, Power Point Presentations and other professionally produced materials.

Our Thai translators are located both in Australia and overseas. We assign projects to Thai translators according to key factors such as accreditation, area of expertise and the translator’s country of residence, which is particularly important for commercial/promotional translations. We ensure that a Thai translation will read as well, or even better than the source document by carefully assigning the most appropriate translator to the project; fluency in the latest cultural and business terminology for your target audience is essential. Our Thai translators hold current membership of organizations associations such as AUSIT. For translations requiring certification within Australia, we utilize translators credentialed by NAATI. Furthermore, all of our Thai translations undergo proofreading to ensure accuracy.

Thai to English and English to Thai typesetting considerations

When translating from one language to another, the volume of text will either increase or decrease. This expansion and contraction will vary depending upon subject matter. English to Thai translation often results in a 20% increase in text. Accordingly, Thai to English translation will decrease the volume of text by approximately 20%. Another major consideration when typesetting Thai translations is that, unlike English, there are no spaces between words. Breaks only occur between sentences and to indicate a major pause. For this reason, it is essential that the translator works closely with the typesetter to ensure that line breaks have been made in the correct places.
